Pricing Tables & Product Comparisons

The objective of having a pricing table or product comparison chart is to present all the product or services offered by the company at a single glance. The company tries to help customers with a product comparison table which provides product features along with prices. This will ultimately help the user to understand different products and their features to make the right choice.

There are some basic things which we need to keep in mind when we are designing these tables:

  • We should present optimal information. Neither there should be information overload for the user to get confused nor be lesser to clearly show the difference between different services.
  • Pricing and difference between features should be clear, making different services visually different so to help user to understand each of them better
  • Placing a free trial at a prominent place will always help users to understand and evaluate product and services.

Jakob Nielsen summaries this

Big, two-dimensional drop-down panels group navigation options to eliminate scrolling and use typography, icons, and tool-tips to explain the user’s choices.

The biggest benefit of using Maga drop down menu’s over regular menus

They offer a good user experience when we are talking about browsing large site. You can group your information and are more accessible.
